About

Hey, I’m Raju. ML Research Engineer at Hitachi America Ltd., based in the US.
Most of my work sits at the intersection of machine learning research and engineering - figuring out how to take AI from interesting idea to something that actually works in the real world. I spend a lot of time thinking about LLMs, agents, and the infrastructure around them.
This site is where I write. Mostly about AI and engineering, but also about life, random observations, and whatever is currently occupying my head. No fixed format - some posts are long and structured, some are just a few paragraphs of raw thinking.
Outside of Work
When I’m not deep in a codebase or reading papers, you’ll find me:
- Building things for myself - small apps, prototypes, tools that solve my own problems. I find it’s the best way to stay sharp and scratch creative itches.
- Sim racing - surprisingly deep rabbit hole. The physics, the setups, the precision of it all.
- Formula 1 - fully committed F1 geek. The strategy, the engineering, the drama.
- Strength training - consistent practice, slow progress, long game.
- Reading - mostly non-fiction. History, science, psychology, business. Whatever helps me understand the world a bit better.
What Drives Me
Simple idea: be 1% better than yesterday. In health, in my craft, financially, as a person. Not a dramatic transformation - just consistent, compounding improvement over time. Working towards it one day at a time.
